Moscow’s recent missile and drone assaults on Kyiv resulted in the death of at least one individual and injuries to 13 others, as reported by Ukrainian officials on Sunday. These attacks occurred just a day after Ukraine’s offensive targeting logistics centers and warehouses within Russian borders.
Residents of the Ukrainian capital were alerted by air-raid sirens, warning of incoming ballistic missiles, followed by a series of explosions echoing throughout the city. The strikes affected six different districts in Kyiv, causing significant damage. In the Solomianskyi district, an apartment building was struck, while fires ignited at a supermarket and a residential property in Sviatoshynskyi district. Other attacks damaged a shopping and entertainment complex in the Dniprovskyi district, an apartment in the Shevchenkivskyi district, and a non-residential facility.
Beyond Kyiv, the Dnipropetrovsk region experienced a Russian drone strike, resulting in another casualty. On the Russian side, officials confirmed one fatality in the Kursk region following a Ukrainian attack. These incidents come in the wake of Ukraine’s drone operations targeting logistical sites in Moscow and Tambov regions of Russia. Ukrainian authorities claimed these locations were connected to the supply of parts essential for drone production and navigation systems.
